What you'll learn & make:
Create your own pretty & practical hand embroidery sampler choosing from a selection of designs. They’re a fun way to try a range of different outline stitches. There are so many hand embroidery stitches out there but this class is aimed at beginners who want a modern take on an embroidery. In this 3 part series you’ll learn how to transfer a design onto fabric, split your threads & trial a range of different outline stitches including;
running stitch, back stitch, chain stitch, French knot, bullion knot, Whip stitch, Split stitch, Couching...
These are great transferable stitches to card making, soft furnishings & fashion/up-cycling. Take time to slow down down this year & enjoy this mindful craft you can take on the go with you.
This series will lead on to more complex ‘filling stitches’ where you’ll advance your skills on embroidered flowers, leaves, satin stitch & 3D techniques.
(you may not leave with a finished product but will have the skills & knowledge to do so at home)
