Welcome to The Vintage Sewing Bunny
The Vintage Sewing Bunny was established in July 2015 by Lucy, a qualified Textiles teacher and sewing enthusiast who is passionate about creating not only a learning environment but a hub of socialising & community. The team of bunnies has recently expanded to support a thriving online community of sewers and vibrants fabric store. The fabric boutique offers a select range of hand picked fabrics, which prides itself on quality over quantity! Theres a fast turn over of fabric inline with fashion & interior trends each season including a core line of high quality 100% cottons as well as linen, denim, jerseys, cord, panels and polyester crepes…to allow both dressmakers & crafters ample choice for their projects! The product range is ever expanding and driven by customer feedback & request, they are inline with sewing workshops and most recently live Facebook sewing tutorials/sew-a-longs. Ordinarily Lucy runs a packed calendar of creative workshops; from beginners sewing to dressmaking and interior design as well as the ever expanding team of pop up craft tutors but throughout lockdown Lucy has adapted her teaching to virtual sessions. Each week she will show you how to make a sewing project - an opportunity to learn new skills…these are LIVE on the facebook page at 8pm every wednesday. Any relevant templates, links to patterns & instructions available in a resource folder on the facebook photo album, all previous video tutorials are under the videos section...meaning you can make any project anytime! Help & advice are available on The Vintage Sewing Bunny facebook 'group'... where showing what you have made with our fabrics or projects from the virtual tutorials are also encouraged. Situated in the heart of Lytham St.Annes in The Ansdell Institute, on the lower ground floor of this grand Edwardian building, easily accessible by bus & train, both with stops only a few metres away. In lockdown there is 3 weekly ‘click & collect’ times where if orders are placed before midnight the day before they can be collected between 1-2 pm. These are Monday, Thursday & Saturday, postal orders will also be processed & posted on these days (more information here).
